20th Annual Fourth of July Concert featuring the Indigo Choral Society

It's not the 4th of July without a performance of the Indigo Choral Society on the lawn of the Kaminski House Museum. Highlights of the concert will include a Color Guard and songs from the American genre, Carolina-themed songs and a salute to our Armed Forces. Bring your lawn chairs, favorite snacks and drinks and spend the 4th of July on the lawn of the Kaminski House Museum.

The lawn of the Kaminski House Museum will be the site for the Wet Paint Sale on Saturday, September 24 from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. the event is part of the 4th Annual Seaside Palette presented by the Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art. Local artists will paint in locations throughout Georgetown and convene on the lawn on Saturday to sale their works or art.

Kaminski House Museum Waterfront CleanUp Effort

In partnership with the Keep Georgetown Beautiful and PalmettoPride Keep South Carolina Beautiful, the Friends of the Kaminski House Museum will organize a waterfront cleanup on Thursday, April 14 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Dress in cleanup attire and wear sneakers. Gloves, lawn equipment and bags will be supplied. A Volunteer Lunch will be served immediately following the cleanup. To volunteer contact the Museum Gift Shop at 843-546-7706.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Kaminski House Museum

All children 12 and under are invited to participate in the Annual Easter Egg Hunt on the lawn of the Kaminski House Museum and Rainey Park on Saturday, March 26, 11:30 a.m. This is an annual event sponsored by the Cultural Council of Georgetown County, the Georgetown Business Association and the Friends of the Kaminski House. Other activities will include a stroll down the boardwalk in the Easter Strut. We hope to see everyone for the Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Rainey Park and on the lawn of the Kaminski House Museum.

The Kaminski House Museum presents A Very Fashionable Christmas!

The Kaminski House Museum presents A Very Fashionable Christmas beginning Monday, November 9 through Wednesday, December 30 during our guided tours at 11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m. in historic Georgetown, SC. Local designers will dress the museum in holiday decor ranging from traditional Christmas decorations to seasonal glitz and glamour! A Very Fashionable Christmas will feature candlelight tours on Thursday evenings on November 12, December 3, 10 and 17. The evening tours are from 5 - 7 p.m. The cost is $5.00 for adults, youth $3.00 and children under the age of 10 are admitted free of charge. Call 843-546-7706 for more details.

Kaminski House Museum Lecture Series

Our lecture series will continue with local historian and author Robert "Mac" McAlister. Mr. McAlister will speak on his recently published book, "Georgetown's North Island, A History." His presentation will include the story of Lafayette's first landing place in America, the lives of rice planters and their slaves at Lafayette Village as told by General Peter Horry and others and the devastating hurricane of 1822. The cost of the lecture is $10. Bag lunches will be provided by Kudzu Bakery and will be available for $7.50 with prior reservation by calling the Kaminski House Museum @ 843-546-7706.
