SOLD OUT: View the Solar Eclipse on the Kaminski House Museum Lawn

The Kaminski House Museum is directly in the Path of Totality for the Solar Eclipse on Monday, August 21. We will be having a special viewing and streaming of the NASA Coverage of the eclipse on the lawn of the museum. We will be serving cold beverages and DJ Jeff Benton will be on hand to play songs such as Moon Dance, Solar Eclipse of the Heart and Moon Shadow. So on Monday, August 21, It's All Happening on the Lawn!

Family Fun Day at the Kaminski House Museum

Spend a fun-filled afternoon on the lawn of the Kaminski House Museum as we present Family Fun Day on Saturday, October 14, 1 - 5 p.m. Fall activities will include storytelling, children's games, corn husk doll making and scarecrow building stations. You can also create your own pumpkin face. A Healthy Foods Tent and a Spirited Pumpkin Patch will also be featured on the lawn of the Kaminski House Museum. This is a free event provided to the community through a grant from International Paper. Parents must accompany children to be admitted to this event.

On Saturday, April 15 everyone is invited to stroll down the boardwalk in the Easter parade at 11:00 a.m. Then line up at the entrance to Rainey Park and participate in the Annual Easter Egg Hunt inside Rainey Park and on the lawn of the Kaminski House Museum at 11:30 a.m.  The Cultural Council of Georgetown County, the Georgetown Business Association and the Friends of the Kaminski House sponsor the Annual Easter Egg Hunt. The Kaminski House Museum in historic Georgetown, SC will be the site for A Very Fashionable Christmas. Local designers will dress the museum in holiday decor ranging from traditional Christmas decorations to seasonal glitz and glamour! The Christmas Open House will feature candlelight tours.

Candlelight Open Houses: Saturday, November 12 (5:30 -6:30 p.m.) and Saturday, November 26 (5:30 - 7:30 p.m.) Saturday, December 17 is Family Night with Swamp Fox Tours Trolley, hot cocoa & cookies and activity sheets for children; 4 - 6 p.m.

Prices: Evening Open Houses: $10 members, $15 non-members

Family Night (Dec. 17): $5 adults and children 12 and over, children under 12 free

Kaminski House Museum Waterfront CleanUp Effort

In partnership with the Keep Georgetown Beautiful and PalmettoPride Keep South Carolina Beautiful, the Friends of the Kaminski House Museum will organize a waterfront cleanup on Thursday, April 14 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Dress in cleanup attire and wear sneakers. Gloves, lawn equipment and bags will be supplied. A Volunteer Lunch will be served immediately following the cleanup. To volunteer contact the Museum Gift Shop at 843-546-7706.
