Spend a fun-filled afternoon on the lawn of the Kaminski House Museum as we present Family Fun and Literacy Day on Saturday, October 26, 1 - 4 pm. We will celebrate literacy with storytelling and readings. The event includes children’s games, crafts, pumpkin face creations, a healthy foods tent and a spirited pumpkin patch. This is a free event provided to the community. Parents Must Accompany Children to be admitted to this event.
You are invited to join the Kaminski House Museum as we celebrate the museum’s 250th Birthday by flipping the switch to “Light Up the Lawn” for the museum’s holiday lighting display for the first time. Dance under our oaks by the Sampit River to the big band sounds of the Andrew Thielen Big Band. Specialty pizzas will be provided by Landolfi’s Pizza. Tickets are $5.00 for children 12 and under and $15.00 for adults and children 13 and over. All proceeds will benefit the museum’s interior restoration project. Our holiday tours will feature the work of some of the area’s best home decor specialists and interior designers as they decorate the rooms of the museum in holiday splendor! If you can’t wait to tie the knot, the Kaminski House Museum has a “sweet deal” for couples on Valentine’s Day for $300.00. Couples will have 45 minutes to say their vows and pose for photography on the lawn. The museum also offers a package that includes an officiant for the ceremony, bouquet of flowers and a boutonniere (at a value of $100.00), a small box of chocolates and a bottle of champagne. The cost of the package is $1,000.00.

In honor of Wooden Boat Show Weekend, the Kaminski House Museum presents a special “Commander’s Tour” on Friday, October 18th and Saturday, October 19th from 2 - 4 pm. Experience the Commander’s Den filled with antique model ships, naval art, and memorabilia from the life and times of Lt. Commander Harold Kaminski. Admission is $5.00. Participants will meet at the Kaminski House Museum and walk over to board the Carolina Rover at the CCU dock. Enjoy a beverage aboard the Carolina Rover during your excursion to Hobcaw Barony. You will be greeted by Coordinator of Public Engagement Lee Brockington and enjoy light hors d’oeuvres on the lawn or porch of the Hobcaw House. Lee will give a short presentation on the lawn or inside the house (according to the weather). Then board the Carolina Rover for your return to the Kaminski House Museum where you will enjoy birthday cake and champagne on the lawn as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the building of the Kaminski House! Celebrate with us on Sunday, October 6th, 4 - 7 pm. The cost of a ticket is $60.00.

We are proud to present the Indigo Choral Society in a concert featuring patriotic, spiritual and Americana selections for the 23rd year. This year the Kaminski House Museum will also be celebrating the 250th anniversary of the building of the house. Come out, bring a chair, your favorite snacks, and camp out on our lawn for the concert. Stay for the fireworks show presented by the City of Georgetown. Rain Plan - relocation of concert to Winyah Auditorium: Join the Friends of the Kaminski House and WoodmanLife 1309 at Winyah Auditorium, 1200 Highmarket St., Georgetown for a musical tribute to the 75th Anniversary of D-Day on Thursday, June 6th at 6:30 pm. The concert by the Pawleys Island Concert Band and the Jazz Ensemble of the Pawleys Island Concert Band will feature musical selections in remembrance of this momentous historical event. Our Veterans will be recognized at the concert and the event is free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome!

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, April 20th from 11 am - 12 noon. The fun begins with the Annual Easter Parade as participants gather at the town clock at 11 am and parade down the boardwalk to the Kaminski House Museum. The younger children (5 and under) will meet at the Front Street entrance to Rainey Park. The older children (6 - 12) are asked to meet in Rainey Park at the steps leading up to the museum. At approximately 11:30 am the Easter Bunny will give the signal and the egg hunt begins. The egg hunt is fast and furious and ends in about ten minutes. Four baskets will be awarded to the children that find the four golden eggs. The event is sponsored by The Friends of the Kaminski House Museum, The Georgetown Real Estate Agency and The Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce.
