Kaminski House Interior Stabilization Project

Kaminski House Museum built c. 1769

Kaminski House Museum built c. 1769

Built in 1769, the Kaminski House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is the western anchor of the Georgetown Historic District.

In order to better protect the historic fabric of the Kaminski House and the museum's collection, the Interior Stabilization Project will overhaul the building's HVAC and duct-work systems. Installed in 1941, the duct-work is woefully inadequate to maintain the Kaminski House's interior climate control system and it needs to be brought up to the standards necessary for the preservation and protection of a modern day museum. The project will also include much needed preservation work on interior walls in an effort to correct the damage caused by years of excess moisture within the house.
