It's amazing to see the faces on children as we describe what life was like before modern technology. Give us a call and let us help your students experience history. A hands-on activity can easily be added to your school or camp field trip.
Elementary School Program: Tied to the second and third grade South Carolina curriculum.
Detecting Your Way to the Past: 2 hours long, $3 per student.
Have your students become detectives as they learn to observe and report on changes over time. Students will participate in several hands-on activities as well as get a tour of the Kaminski House
The Hammock Coast is home to many wonderful plantations, and Georgetown was a thriving seaport. So often, the products produced on the plantations were sold through merchants like Heiman Kaminski (father of Harold Kaminski) to customers near and far. If you are responsible for organizing group tours, the Kaminski House Museum is a wonderful stop for any group tour, offering insight into society over the last 200 years.
